In 1963, there was a commercial for Palmolive soap (green or pink) where they suggested that it be used twice a day as a facial cream "to keep any woman younger looking".

When I was little I used to give my mother homemade 'manicures' using her Palmolive, just like Madge did at least once a week.She always indulged me and never complained, even though the detergents in that stuff were probably eating away at her skin, lol.
