Oscar is one of the great international players. Would have love to see this guy play for the NBA during his days...this guy is fun to watch in the his Olympic stints....

Oscar was a great European player but wasn't athletic that athletic so he wouldn't have been able to get his own shot in the NBA. In the NBA, with its 24-second clock, he'd have been exposed. Someone on this board had the nerve to say that Petrovic was more talented than Jordan. Jordan was one of the five best athletes ever -- as well as the best player ever. Even Petro, as cocky as he was, would have told you that.

I agree it has changed to some extent but it is and was still compramised in order to increase 'entertainment' and create stars.

The NBA back in the day isnt the same as the NBA nowadays. Players need to play a lot of 1 vs 1 in NBA, so his defense would be better, thats pretty sure.

Would his defense got better playing in a bullshit system designed for ratings at the cost of the sport itself? No proper D allowed, travelling pretty much IS allowed, it's a shame.

that's not a valid argument, buddy. Oscar never played in the NBA because the didn't want to, in order to play for his national team. Drazen was younger than him, so he was able to go. two beautiful offensive players. Oscar a gunner; Drazen a more complete player. unfortunately, Oscar lacked some defensive game... in the NBA he would surely have gotten better.

It was Drazen game and is really great to see Drazen in his best years playing for Real. Drazen is best European players all times.
